What if the board game Monopoly never existed?
When its publisher, Charles Darrow, approached game manufactures about publishing the game in 1935, they rejected him by stating that “52 fundamental errors” existed in the game.
In real life, he want head and published it anyway, and it became a massive success.
But what if, in an alternate timeline, he became disheartened by this criticism and dropped plans for publishing the game? I imagine things might be slightly different - for example the English language wouldn’t have “get out of jail free card” as part of its lexicon.
